Yellow House believes that families (even those with wee ones) deserve beautiful, functional and affordable interiors.  Just because you have a busy family, doesn’t mean that you are relegated to living with your couch from college.   There are interior solutions that offer function and durability, without sacrificing personal style and elegance.  We also believe houses are for living not just admiring.

We offer full Interior Design services ranging from new construction to remodel work to a furniture facelift.  During the design process we will review schematic designs, inspiration photos, and budget goals to establish a personal design direction.  Once a direction is approved, we move to design development to select individual finishes and FF&E items (furniture, fixtures, lighting, window coverings, floor coverings, art, and accessories).  Designs are presented with a corresponding budget and furniture plans. Once a design scheme is approved, we move forward with purchase and installation.

Yellow House principal, Jennifer Corteville, graduated from Vanderbilt University with a BA in Economics and Academy of Art University with a BA in Interior Architecture and Design.  She spent 3 ½ years at Backen Gillam Architects before having her son. She returned to work at April Powers Interior Design before having her second, a daughter.  Yellow House was launched in 2011 with the goal of bringing two passions together: design and family.
